Georgina is an Integrative Therapist with 30 years of experience working with people in supportive and therapeutic settings.
Whether one-to-one, in groups or through teaching, her career has been focused on helping people to reach their full potential and live their best possible lives.
She has undertaken training in a variety of approaches to personal development and wellbeing, including Brief Strategic Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Client-Centred Counselling.
Georgina takes a client-centred approach and likes to work collaboratively with each individual, focusing on the approaches they feel most comfortable and aligned with. Working in this way, she gains great satisfaction from witnessing clients develop greater levels of self-esteem and confidence, and find new ways of moving forward when life has previously felt challenging or blocked.
To live our best possible lives, we ideally need to feel healthy, resilient and able to navigate periods of stress and change. The pressures and demands of modern life can have an impact on how we feel, think and function, and over the years Georgina has witnessed the many ways in which stress can affect people's lives, including their ability to manage work pressures.
In response to this, she has developed a system to support wellbeing in corporate settings and the business world, providing bespoke packages of coaching and training designed to help employees not simply survive the workplace, but to thrive within it. These programmes draw upon approaches including CBT, NLP, MBSR, meditation and breathwork.
These sessions help participants to develop greater awareness of their self-confidence, focus and capacity, while learning practical strategies for navigating stress, self-doubt and pressure. The programmes are designed to give people practical tools that they can incorporate into their everyday lives and working environments.
This is a hugely satisfying part of Georgina's work and an area that has given her the opportunity to explore the relationship between stress, our experiences and our overall sense of wellbeing.
Georgina originally trained thirty years ago in Anatomy and Physiology (ITEC) and the Healing/Intuitive Arts. She is qualified in a range of holistic approaches to mind, body and energy work, including Reiki, Rahanni and Energy Psychology. Her work is very much informed by these approaches, and she may introduce them into an individual's programme where appropriate and where they fit with the client's beliefs, preferences and personal approach.
For those who are new to these practices and would like to explore them further, Georgina is more than happy to explain her approach and how these complementary practices may be incorporated into a wider programme of personal wellbeing and development.
Ultimately, her goal is to help people feel as happy, confident, inspired and energised as they can be. Another important part of Georgina's work is running regular online meditation groups and training programmes, which can be explored via the Live Your Best Life Facebook link below or by contacting her directly through her website.
