If you would like to book an initial appointment please pop me an email at beyondthetherapyroom@outlook.com
(NB While I totally understand the desire for a quick free chat, I usually recommend an initial hour session so I can clinically assess where you are, we can establish an initial working relationship and you get the confidentiality needed for both)
I currently charge £100 per hour and ask for upfront payment for the initial session only.
Since I work in a client-centred way, there is never any requirement to sign up for more than one session at a time.
Any subsequent sessions are payable on the day and are also £100 per hour.
Currently my waiting list is about 4 weeks.
I always strive to provide the best service for my clients that I can so if you feel unable to wait this long, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
If you have any questions that are not addressed here please just let me know!
I think of EFT as a soothing balm for the nervous system, helping it to stay settled and safe while you and I locate and resolve the issue at hand.
EFT is simple to use, highly effective, very efficient and incredibly gentle which means most people respond really positively to it and like using it.
It is accepted by many that unwanted habits, traumas, relationship patterns and ill health sit within our mind and our body. I know this first hand and see it time and time again with clients. EFT works on both (it is a cognitive-somatic tool) via our Primo Vascular System (what used to be known as the meridian system of energy). This system is vastly connected to the rest of our body and our brain and as a result EFT can target, impact and shift things in ways that many other psychotherapeutic tools can not.
Finally, EFT is rapidly becoming one of the most researched psychotherapeutic tools out there and if you want to have a look at some of this research I'd encourage you to check out https://eftuniverse.com/research-studies/ (but don't get lost down the rabbit hole!)
In the initial few sessions a big part of my role is to help you find a pace that works for you.
We all have instinctive and unconscious protective mechanisms that are driven by our Autonomic Nervous System (which is part of our electrical anatomy) and it is important that we work with and respect these mechanisms. After all they are designed to keep us safe and well!
What it means is that, working at a pace outside of this 'Window of Tolerance' is likely to kick in protective mechanisms that slow down progress.
Likewise, if you have physical symptoms like fatigue etc, our sessions need to respect this. Not doing so creates more problems than it solves.
When we are very eager to progress from our current reality this can feel difficult and is something that I often discuss with clients.
Although I am not able to provide an emergency service, and would always encourage you to contact your GP or appropriate medical service in such cases, I am often able to briefly guide you over email.
Likewise if my diary allows, I will always try and offer you a session sooner than planned in such cases.
